Start with the jewelry or accessory
Describe the item that will go inside the pouch: ring, earrings, necklace, bracelet, accessory or gift set. Include the item dimensions in the condition in which it will be presented, including a card, insert or small box if needed.
If the size is not final, share a drawing or clear reference image and label the measurement as provisional. The jewelry pouch size guide explains what to measure.
Define the presentation direction
Explain what the customer should notice when the package is opened. You may be comparing cotton, velvet, microfiber or another fabric direction. The choice should be reviewed with the product, closure, logo area and intended retail or gift experience.
Use the materials guide to frame the comparison without treating a material name as a complete specification.
Include the five production decisions
Size and usable opening
State the required finished dimensions or ask for a fit discussion. The opening and closure need to work with the product inside.
Material and closure
Choose a material direction and describe whether you prefer drawstring, ribbon, snap-button, zipper or envelope construction.
Logo and artwork
Attach the logo or provide a reference link. Mention the preferred position, artwork colors and any logo method you want to discuss. Review the fabric logo method guide.
Quantity and destination
Give an estimated quantity or range and destination country. Project-specific quantity, shipping and timing are confirmed against the final specification.
Sample requirement
State whether you need a material reference, digital mockup, physical sample or quotation first. See the sampling and production guide for the sequence.
What makes a brief useful to a packaging supplier?
A useful brief separates confirmed details from open questions. Write “to be confirmed” where necessary rather than filling a gap with an assumption. This makes the next response easier to review and reduces the risk of comparing different pouch configurations as if they were the same.
Use the custom pouch quote checklist before sending your final request.
Frequently asked questions
What should a jewelry packaging brief include?
Include the item, dimensions, presentation goal, material direction, closure, logo artwork, quantity, destination and sampling requirement.
Can I request a quote if some details are not final?
Yes. Mark unknown details as to be confirmed and share the item dimensions, reference images or intended presentation so the project can be discussed accurately.
Why are product dimensions important for jewelry pouches?
Dimensions help review the pouch fit, usable opening, closure and logo area before a sample or quotation is prepared.
