Define the configuration
Dimensions, fabric, lining, closure and packing all affect the work and materials involved. A small unlined pouch and a larger lined pouch are not directly comparable simply because both use cotton.
Separate artwork and production choices
Ask which setup charges apply to the proposed logo method and whether the quotation includes them. A change in artwork complexity or number of colors may change the method, setup and unit cost.
Compare the same quantities and delivery terms
Request quotations against the same specification and quantity. Identify the currency, trade term, shipping, taxes, sample costs and any separate charges. An online starting price is not necessarily the price at the listed minimum order.
Calculate a project total
Use quantity multiplied by the quoted unit price, then add confirmed setup, sampling, packing and shipping charges that are not already included. Keep the validity date and document what would require a revised quotation.
